Our primary Summer Reading Challenge targets “middle grade” readers (typically ages 9-12) and “teen” readers (ages 13 and up), but we know there are many of you who have younger readers. While our hope is that our middle grade titles (“List 1”) are family friendly enough that the entire family can listen to and enjoy them, we know that some young readers want books they can actually read on their own. No doubt, young listeners will enjoy some themed picture books just for them as well.
With that in mind, here is an extension list for you to print and take to the library. There are picture books and easy readers (plus a few chapter books) for each week’s title. Even though we’re two weeks in, it will be easy to “catch up” with this list. We hope your entire family enjoys the picture books as much as you’re enjoying the official titles. Click on the link below to go the list and print.
