Bible Infographics for Kids

Bible Infographics for Kids presents Bible facts and concepts in an entertaining, memorable way.

Bible Infographics for Kids by Harvest House Publishers, illustrated by Brian Hurst. 2018, 48 pages.

Reading Level: Middle Grades, ages 8-10

Recommended for: ages 6-12

The subtitle is, “Giants, Ninja Skills, a Talking Donkey, and What’s the Deal with the Tabernacle?” That should give you a clue of the tone of this book. It’s definitely fun, and kids will pore over it for hours gasping at the number of soccer balls it would take to fill the Ark or how many pairs of athletic shoes Paul would have worn out in his travels. (I won’t tell; you’ll have to consult the book to find out.) And do you know who were the tallest and oldest Bible characters? And who had the longest name?

Some of this stuff borders on silly: Ehud the judge didn’t need Ninja skills to get out of the palace of Eglon, just for instance. But these colorful charts and graphics also teach important Bible concepts. Jesus’ family tree is a two-page spread, and the odds against his fulfilling all 48 Old-Testament prophesies about him are literally astronomical. The comparison of Christianity with other religions could be a helpful tool for pre-apologetics. There’s even a double-foldout board game in the middle which will take players (or just one player) through the entire Bible narrative.

For the visually-oriented or wiggle-worms in your household, Bible Infographics could be a sound investment. Volume 2: Light & Dark, Heroes & Villains, and Mind-Blowing Facts, is also available.
