Daily Reading Program for Children by eThought.com. Part of the 7/52 Bible Study Program. 2014.
Reading Level: Ages 4-10
Recommended For: Independent readers, ages 4-10
Daily Bible reading programs for elementary aged children are hard to find. Too often, the plan includes a paraphrase of Scripture, extra commentary with which the family may not agree doctrinally, an extra-Biblical theme (such as “princesses”), or requires more introspection or writing than a child is ready to engage in.
While we do not usually cover “bookmarks” or other extra-book accessory items, this Bible reading program bookmark set is unique. Designed to be used for a full year, there are 52 undated bookmarks, each with 7 Scripture references listed.
Each bookmark’s short Bible references relate to a weekly theme (“God Wants Us to Worship Him”). Bookmarks are numbered so that several weeks in a row relate to a larger concept. For instance, a group of bookmarks relates to the early church, a group covers Jesus’s earthly life, and a group highlights different attributes of God. Other than the theme, however, there is no commentary. In addition, many week’s selections include passages from both Old and New Testaments with one verse highlighted as a key verse. This is typed out in the English Revised Version (ERV). Passages are varied in length with most being 2-5 verses long.
The varied length of the passages, the excellent “sword drill” practice required by looking up so many different Scripture references, and the simplicity of the approach make this a great tool for encouraging children to develop the habit of daily Bible reading. These bookmarks would make a great gift for early elementary aged children; they also would make a good group goal for a Sunday School class, a Christian school class, or a family to read through together.
Note: bookmarks do contain pictures of Jesus. Themes are in keeping with evangelical Christian doctrine.

Excellent, thanks!
Is this program still available? I can’t seem to find it.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it :-(. That’s a shame!
