We love Christmas and Advent at Redeemed Reader, and we’ve reviewed lots of related resources over the years.
Advent begins on December 1, and the Christmas season extends through the first week of January. Are you one of those families who likes to open a “new” book each day of Advent? Perhaps you plan more focused spiritual readings. Either way, you’ll find plenty of inspiration and ideas below. Stock up on some new literary gems that will help you and your family celebrate Christmas and Advent!
note: We’re still in the process of updating the internal links in the older reviews (they all got messed up in our 2016 hack); please be patient when you run across a link that isn’t working and do let us know! As always, titles below are linked to RR reviews!

One of my favorite Christmas stories is The Other Wise Man by Henry Van Dyke.
Two good Advent/Christmas/Epiphany resources are Light Upon Light, compiled by Sarah Arthur, and Waiting on the Word by Malcolm Guite.
I love The Other Wise Man! I forgot about that one.
I found Jesus is Most Special by Sally Michael. Is that the book you listed as being be Sally Lloyd-Jones?
Linda, thank you for catching that error! We did incorrectly list the author, so I just updated the list to reflect Sally Michael as the author of Jesus is Most Special. I appreciate your help spotting that 🙂
