Pippa and the Singing Tree lyrically celebrates the joy of Creation’s song and invites us to join in.

*Pippa and the Singing Tree: Joining the Song of All Creation by Kristyn Getty and illustrated by P. J. Lynch. Crossway, 2025. 40 pages.

One frosty morning

wee Pippa swings high,

beneath an old tree

and a peppermint sky.

Pippa is swinging from a branch in a tree, kicking up dead leaves and listening to the many sounds creation makes. When the “raindrops start drumming their Irish jigs,” she hears more sounds. Soon Pippa joins in the song around her along with the birds, the wind, and the rest of God’s world.

The Bible reminds us that the rocks will cry out, that the trees will clap their hands, that the whole earth will praise the Creator. How much more should we? Pippa joins with her Singing Tree in responding to God’s call that we sing out in praise. The reader is inspired to do likewise.

Bottom Line: Beautifully illustrated, this book celebrates giving praise to the Lord.
