Do read some of the books in this issue, but also take the chance to explore a time period or country/region you might be studying in school this year using our book lists as an example of what might be available. …. History and geography books now come in all shapes, sizes, and genres. Graphic novels include historical fiction and nonfiction, both. Memoirs for teens abound. Photo essays help young readers really “see” what life might have been like.
