Redeemed Reader Quarterly Masthead

Introducing: The Redeemed Reader Quarterly

A print magazine from the team behind Redeemed Reader

It's time for the old-fashioned literary review magazine to make a comeback.

The Redeemed Reader Quarterly aims to do just that.

Each 24-page, themed issue includes traditional literary review elements:

  • book reviews in brief
  • book lists*
  • articles on reading, writing, and/or books in general
  • frequent interviews with current authors
  • practical and educational tips
  • additional resources related to that issue's theme

Each issue features kid-friendly content such as activity pages, a story time plan, and, occasionally, reader-submitted content.

*Book lists are pulled from books we've reviewed here on Redeemed Reader when applicable so that you can read more about the books before buying/reserving at the library. Articles, interviews, activity content (such as story time suggestions, crosswords, etc.), and the additional resources are new for each Quarterly. Occasionally, we will re-publish this material on the website after the Quarterly goes to press.

Summer, 2025: The Animal Stories Issue

Animal Stories for Everyone!

The Animal Stories Issue revisits one of our most popular summer reading programs: Tails and Trails. The cover art is by Joe Sutphin, and it was commissioned for the e-zine for Tails and Trails. Now, you will receive it in print! What else is in this issue?

  • Interview with S. D. Smith, a favorite animal-fantasy author
  • A spotlight on animal fantasy
  • A family friendly activity on the inside back cover
  • Book recommendations for all ages
  • A "Story Tea" for our youngest readers is in every issue.

Fun for the whole family straight to your mailbox. Recipients must be active Golden Key members by Saturday, April 26, 2025, to receive the Summer Animal Stories Issue.

Previous Quarterly Issues

We're exploring options for purchasing back issues, but currently, these are not available for purchase. We do occasionally give them away, so keep a lookout! This will give you a taste of what the Quarterly (cover only) looks like issue to issue: the topics we've covered and the authors we've interviewed.
