In the third installment of the Supernatural Investigations series featuring the amazing Amari, two groups are at war: the League of Magicians (which includes Amari) and the Bureau of Supernatural Affairs (which sort of also includes Amari). Her former-partner-turned-arch-nemesis Dylan Van Helsing is leading the Magicians, and the mind-controlling Elaine Harlowe is Prime Minister, leading the Bureau. Amari isn’t safe anywhere! Her friends, ever her loyal allies, are committed to helping her; her brother Quinton has forbidden her from getting involved. It’s just too dangerous.

Spoiler alert: Amari not only gets involved, she saves the day! Bet you didn’t see that coming. But the journey is rewarding, despite the number of times Amari violates clear orders in order to fight for right. Nonetheless, her derring do costs her dearly, and she is willing to pay whatever price necessary to see good defeat evil. For those who’ve followed along on Amari’s adventures, this is a satisfying third book (and better than book 2)!

Considerations:

  • In the construct of Amari’s world, occasional fortune-telling, magicians (and, therefore, magic), and other supernatural elements are present.

Bottom Line: The Amari series is super fun; look for it at your local library!
