Your Worth Never Wavers seeks to reassure young girls of their intrinsic worth as God’s handiwork.

Your Worth Never Wavers by Laura Wifler, illustrated by Sara Ugolotti. B&H Kids, 2025. 32 pages.

You’re made in God’s image; He knit you together.

Your worth never wavers — not now, and not ever.

A mother reassures her daughter that the God who made the universe has also made her just the way she is. To show her, she invites the daughter to travel with her and observe the many beautiful, strong, amazing things God has made. Rhythmic text includes a refrain similar to the above quotation.

The illustrations in this book are colorful and inclusive: moms and daughters of multiple ethnicities are pictured as are children (and moms) with various physical limitations such as vision (glasses) or mobility (a wheelchair in one and crutches in another). Sparkles, butterflies, flowers, and similar elements give a decidedly feminine feel to the illustrations, but the girls pictured are wearing all sort of clothes and hairstyles.

This book doesn’t allude to our sinful actions and thoughts; that’s not really its purpose, but the lines that proclaim goodness through and through might need a little fleshing out, depending on the circumstances. All in all, this is a sweet book that seeks to remind girls that they have value just as God made them.

Bottom Line: Your Worth Never Wavers seeks to reassure young girls of their intrinsic worth as God’s handiwork.
