Noah Minor is back in The Minor Rescue, this time on a quest to save twenty-six middle schoolers who were captured by his Uncle Saul.

The Minor Rescue: The Amazing Adventures of Noah Minor by Meredith Davis. WaterBrook, 2025, 304 pages.
Reading Level: Middle grades, ages 10-12
Recommended for: ages 10-12
Noah Minor has powers—real powers. And he’s ready to use them on behalf of Gravitas, a secret organization training up young heroes. Noah can really make stuff happen when he channels his anger. What does a middle schooler have to be angry about? Oh, friend stuff (why does Haley always seem to know best?). Family stuff (his Uncle Saul is an arch-nemesis of Gravitas and has betrayed Noah personally). School stuff (bullies are the same the world over). Super hero stuff (he should be further along in his training by now). Ugh.
But when Uncle Saul and his minions capture twenty six other middle school students from around the country, Noah rises to the occasion. Well, he doesn’t exactly rise to the occasion at first. Initially he tries to handle it on his own. His best friends Haley and Rodney are by his side, through thick and thin, though. And soon, Noah realizes that he might not always know best or be the most capable.
This second book in The Amazing Adventures of Noah Minor is classic middle grades fare: best friends who learn to love and trust one another despite differences. Misunderstood classmates who become friends and allies. Kids standing up for what’s right against the villains of the world. A young man who matures in handling his emotions. Add in some super hero fun and you have a terrifically fun read. Adult readers will suspect the plot twist, but many young readers won’t pick up on it. If they do, it’s still a fun read!
Bottom Line: Fans of the first Noah Minor book will definitely want to read this second installment about friendship and heart with a dash of super hero panache.
Considerations: none.

- Reviews: Don’t miss the first Noah Minor book. Meredith Davis is also the author of Her Own Two Feet, a completely different sort of book!
- Review: Benny on the Case is another great middle grades book with a unique protagonist and a loyal sidekick. (Starred review!)
- Review: The Trouble with Heroes explores tense family relationships (not unlike Uncle Saul and Noah, although this book packs more depth into its exploration of family dynamics).
