Bat, Cat, and Rat are housemates who decide they need a vacation but run into difficulties. First, their money jar is empty and while working to raise funds, Rat provokes Cat. Then, when it’s time to decide what they want to do, Bat and Cat get into an argument. Where do they want to go—outer space, or a spa? Finally, Rat comes up with a solution that makes everyone happy. Teague’s illustrations are expressive, enhancing the drama.
Bottom Line: A fun addition to the friendship canon of easy readers.
